July Update:

Summer has finally arrived and I hope that everyone had a great Fourth of July.  It has been such a wonderful season so far and the golf course is really starting to take shape.  All the tall fescue areas are adding some great definition to the course and the greens are in good shape.  The rain has helped but the newer irrigation system has helped a bunch too.  The rough around the greens is much better than a year ago and they will only improve with time.  The entire golf course can be irrigated in half the time thanks to the updated controls software in my office.  Thank you again for making such a valuable investment into your country club and rest assure that this will serve us for many, many years. 

You might have also noticed two new cart paths on the golf course.  The path on #17 will be completed soon, and I give thanks to the Grounds Committee and the Men’s Stag, led by Gary Treat, for this great addition to the golf course.  The other path is going from 15 green to 16 tee.  Bill Palumbo had a great hand in designing this path, which allows us to maintain the turf behind 15 green a lot better and give you a better chance if you over hit 15. 

I also need to thank Rick Miller for helping us plant new arborvitae along the tee on # 2 and behind the new pump.  These trees will add to the aesthetic value of the golf course and we will also be adding additional greenery in the fall to further make that area really sharp.

My wife, Monica, and I live in South Bend currently with our two dogs and cat.  We are also expecting our first child at the end of May!  Both of us enjoy golfing and being outdoors.  We are excited to be part of the PCC family and look forward to seeing everyone at the social functions and out on the golf course.
